Marco Simone Golf & Country Club

Announced in December 2015 as Host Venue for the 2022 Ryder Cup, the venue is located just ten miles from the centre of Rome and offers views of the dome of St Peter’s Basilica.

Marco Simone boasts an 18-hole Championship course, a nine-hole Resort course, an impressive clubhouse and practice facilities - all centred around a stunning 11th-century castle.

The par 72, 6,343 metres Championship course covers nearly one hundred hectares and follows the classic rounded hills of the surrounding Roman countryside, with the two sets of nine holes designed by Jim Fazio starting and ending by the splendid clubhouse. The nine-hole Resort course offers an addictive introduction to absolute beginners to the game, but equally offers some intrigue to more seasoned players

The region’s mild climate offers all year-round golfing weather and visitors to this fine club will have a memorable experience of game, entertainment, food and culture in a unique Italian setting.

In preparation for the 2022 Ryder Cup, plans are being implemented to remodel the Championship course.
